Henry Doktorski has created a new piece for organ and pedal titled Fughetta von “Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag,” a transcription of an earlier work for accordion trio composed in 2003 and dedicated to his friend and mentor, the classical accordionist-composer-conductor Maestro Anthony Galla-Rini (1904-2006) on the occasion of his 99th Birthday. This arrangement for organ was inspired by Stephen Best, Adjunct Instructor for Organ and Keyboard at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York (who also suggested the title and created the PDF file).Doktorski wishes to thank Ann Labounsky, Chair for Organ and Sacred Music at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for posting his recording on her facebook page, where Best heard it.
