Hank and Terri Doktorski: Community Service

The boys of Boy Scout Troop 28, East Brunswick, New Jersey, presented this plaque to Hank in grateful appreciation for his services as Scoutmaster.

Both Hank and Terri have performed hundreds of hours of service for church and community. Hank most notably served as Scoutmaster of Troop 28 from 1969 to 1971, when he presided over scout meetings every Tuesday night at the Brookview Volunteer Fire House on Riva Avenue in East Brunswick and taught the boys survival skills such as knot tying, fire starting, proper ax and hatchet technique, camping skills, poisonous plant and snake identification, recognizing edible plants in the wild, first aid and winter survival training. In addition he led the boys on dozens of weekend camping, hiking and canoeing excursions. Terri has been very active in church and community service.
